CD Stickers Printing full-colour labels for discs and cases
CD stickers give a burned or blank disc a finished, professional face. We print full-colour disc labels with a centre hole, plus stickers for jewel cases, card wallets and spines, so a demo, a small album run, a wedding video or a software archive looks intentional rather than improvised.

Disc stickers need to fit precisely and sit perfectly flat, so size, material and artwork setup deserve more care than a typical round sticker.
Why print stickers for CDs?
Printing directly onto discs usually needs printable media and specialist equipment. A disc sticker lets you use ordinary blank CDs or DVDs and still give each one full-colour artwork.
They suit short and medium runs. Musicians pressing a limited demo, photographers delivering event footage and companies sending out training material can produce a polished disc without committing to a large manufactured run.
Stickers also let you update a release. A new edition, a reissue or a corrected track list only needs a fresh sticker design rather than a new batch of printed discs.
Popular uses for CD stickers
Disc stickers turn up in more places than you might expect:
- Band demos and EPs – artwork for discs sold at gigs and sent to promoters.
- Wedding and event videos – personalised discs for couples and families.
- Podcasts and audiobooks – physical copies for listeners and libraries.
- Business archives – labelled backup and record discs.
- Training and software – branded discs for courses and installations.
- Jewel cases and wallets – spine, front and seal stickers to finish the package.
Sizes, materials and cutting
A standard disc is 120 mm across, so disc stickers are usually cut slightly smaller with a centre hole that clears the clamping area. Tell us the disc type and we will confirm dimensions before the proof, especially for mini discs or business-card shaped media.
Thin, flexible stock sits flattest on a disc. Gloss paper gives rich colours for music artwork, while a matte finish reduces glare and can be written on if you need space for a date or version number.
For the case, rectangular stickers can cover the front, the spine or the back, and small round seals close card wallets neatly. A barcode sticker can go on the back if the disc is being sold in shops.
Applying stickers so discs play properly
A disc spins quickly, so a sticker that is off-centre, creased or lifting at the edge can cause wobble or noise in some players. Apply each sticker slowly from one side to push out air, and line up the centre hole carefully.
Never put a sticker on the shiny data side, and avoid stacking a second sticker on top of the first. If a label starts to peel, it is safer to copy the content to a new disc than to press it back down.
Keep artwork inside the printable ring. Important text near the outer edge or right beside the hole may be trimmed, so leave a comfortable margin on both.
How CD stickers help your project stand out
A disc handed over at a gig or sent to a radio station competes with plenty of others. Strong artwork on the disc itself makes it easier to remember and harder to lose in a pile of plain silver discs.
For businesses, a branded disc sticker keeps your name attached to the content, so whoever finds the disc on a shelf later knows exactly what it is and who sent it.

CD Stickers Printing questions, answered
What size are CD stickers?
Discs are 120 mm across, and stickers are cut slightly smaller with a centre hole. Tell us the exact disc you are using and we will confirm the dimensions on your proof.
Will a sticker damage my CD or player?
A well-applied sticker on the label side should not cause problems. Apply it flat and centred, never stick anything on the data side, and do not layer one sticker over another.
Can I print stickers for DVDs as well?
Yes. DVDs share the same outer size as CDs, so the same disc sticker shape works. Just mention it is for DVDs so we can confirm the details.
Can you print jewel case and spine stickers?
Yes. Spine, front and back stickers can be printed to the dimensions of your case or card wallet, and ordered alongside the disc labels.
Can I write on CD stickers?
Choose a matte finish if you want to add dates, version numbers or signatures by hand. Gloss surfaces are harder to write on with normal pens.
What should I check in my artwork?
Keep important text away from the outer edge and the centre hole, set your file up in CMYK at 300 DPI and make sure you have the right to use any photos or artwork in the design.
When do I need to order for a launch date?
Allow 10–12 working days after proof approval for production, plus delivery time, and build in a little extra for checking the proof before your launch.
