Getting the best hold

Static clings need smooth, clean, dry glass. Dust, grease, condensation and textured or frosted glass all weaken the cling, so clean the window with glass cleaner and dry it fully before applying.

Smooth the cling from the centre outwards to push out air. When removing it for reuse, store it flat on its backing sheet so it stays clean and ready for next time.

If a cling stops holding after many uses, washing it gently in lukewarm soapy water and letting it dry flat often restores the static grip.
