• Format – singles, sheets or rolls, and how many per sheet or roll.
• Proofing – whether you approve a proof before printing.
• Timing – when production starts and how long it takes.

Materials, shapes and sizes in a fair comparison

Ask every company for the same material and finish. If one printer suggests a different option, ask why: it may be a better recommendation for your use, or simply a lower-grade substitute.

Specify size precisely, such as 50 × 50 mm rather than “small”. Tiny differences in dimensions affect sheet layouts and how the sticker looks on your product.

Name the shape too. A circle, a rounded rectangle and a contour cut around a logo are produced differently and priced accordingly.

Questions worth asking a sticker printer

Ask whether artwork is reviewed and what happens if your file is not print-ready. A printer that checks resolution, bleed and fine details before proofing saves you from problems you would only discover on delivery.
