Custom Safety Stickers clear instructions where the risk is
Safety stickers put an instruction exactly where it is needed: on the guard of a machine, beside a fire door, on a forklift or at the entrance to a hard-hat area. We print your chosen symbols and wording on vinyl or paper, in sizes that suit the distance people will read them from.

Start with your risk assessment, decide what each sign must tell people, then choose a size and material that will stay readable in the conditions where it is fixed.
Why print your own safety stickers?
Off-the-shelf signs cover common messages, but many workplaces have hazards that are specific to their own equipment, layout or process. A custom sticker can name the machine, state the exact PPE required at that station or explain a site-specific procedure in plain language.
Stickers are also practical where a rigid sign will not fit: on a curved guard, a hand tool, a vehicle door or the side of a cabinet. Applied directly to the surface, they are hard to lose and cannot be propped against a wall and forgotten.
Printing a matched set helps consistency too. When every station uses the same layout and colour logic, staff and visitors recognise the type of instruction before they read the words.
Common uses for safety stickers
Businesses order safety stickers for:
- Machinery and guards – PPE reminders, isolation instructions and moving-part alerts.
- Warehouses and logistics – forklift zones, racking load notices and pedestrian routes.
- Construction sites – site rules on cabins, plant and welfare units.
- Fleet vehicles – reversing notices, fuel type labels and equipment locations.
- Offices and public buildings – fire door reminders and first aid locations.
- Laboratories and kitchens – hot surface, chemical storage and handwashing notices.
Materials, sizes and finishes
For most workplaces, a white or coloured vinyl with a protective laminate is the sensible choice. It copes with oil, water, dust and regular wiping far better than paper. In very clean, dry offices a paper sticker can be adequate for temporary notices.
Size is governed by viewing distance. A sticker on a hand tool is read from arm’s length, while a notice at a warehouse doorway needs to register from several metres. Test with a printed mock-up at the real position before ordering.
Matte finishes reduce glare under bright workshop lights. Where signs must be seen in low light, ask about reflective or fluorescent materials for the job.
Your responsibilities for wording and symbols
The employer or duty holder decides which signs are needed and what they must say. Check current HSE safety-sign guidance and your own risk assessment for the colours, shapes and pictograms appropriate to each hazard, then send us the artwork or the wording you have settled on.
We print the design you approve and will point out anything that looks hard to read, such as thin lines or low contrast. We do not assess hazards or confirm that a sign meets the rules for your situation.
Remember that a sticker supports other controls rather than replacing them. Guarding, training and safe systems of work still do the heavy lifting.
How consistent safety stickers help your business
Well-maintained signage is visible evidence of a site that is organised. Visitors, contractors and auditors notice faded, peeling or handwritten notices, and replacing them with crisp printed stickers improves that impression immediately.
Adding your company name or a site code to the design also makes reorders simple, because everyone can see which version belongs where.
Why workplaces order safety stickers from AStickerPrinting
We treat safety artwork carefully: a free check looks for legibility problems and missing text, and a PDF proof shows each sticker at its real size so your safety lead can sign it off. Production then takes 10–12 working days, with delivery to sites across the UK.

Safety Stickers questions, answered
Do your safety stickers meet legal requirements?
We print the design you supply and approve, and we cannot confirm whether a sign satisfies the rules for your workplace. Check current HSE safety-sign guidance and your risk assessment for the symbols, colours and wording you need.
Which material is right for a workshop or factory?
Laminated vinyl is usually the right call. It resists oil, moisture and regular wiping, and it bonds well to painted metal and most plastics. Tell us about solvents or heat near the sticker so we can advise.
Can you print our own pictograms?
Yes. Supply the symbols as vector artwork if possible. If you only have a low-resolution image, send it anyway and our artwork check will tell you whether it will reproduce sharply.
How big should a safety sticker be?
It depends on how far away people are when they need the information. Measure that distance, print a paper test at your intended size and check it from there before you order.
Can safety stickers go on vehicles and plant?
Yes. Vinyl flexes over mild curves on cabs and panels. Clean the area of grease and wax first and keep stickers clear of windows the operator needs to see through.
Can I order a mixed set of different notices?
Yes. Many orders include a dozen or more designs in varying quantities. Send us a simple list of each design and how many you need.
When will my safety stickers be ready?
Plan on 10–12 working days after you approve the proof. If a site inspection or opening date is coming up, tell us when you order so the timeline is clear from the start.
