Wheels are curved, hot near the brakes and constantly dirty. Accurate measurements, the right material and careful placement make all the difference.
Why choose alloy wheel stickers?
Stickers are a reversible way to personalise wheels. You can add a colour accent that matches your calipers, bodywork or club colours, then remove it later if you sell the car or change your mind.
Custom printing means the design fits your specific wheels. Every alloy has a different lip width, spoke shape and centre cap diameter, and stickers made from your measurements look far neater than generic kits.
For businesses, wheel stickers also carry branding onto show cars, demo vehicles and hire fleets in a subtle, high-quality way.
Popular uses for alloy wheel stickers
People order alloy wheel stickers for:
- Rim stripes – thin coloured bands around the wheel lip.
- Centre cap stickers – replacing worn or missing cap badges with your own design.
- Spoke decals – small graphics or lettering on individual spokes.
- Car club branding – matching wheel accents for members’ cars.
- Show and display cars – colour-coordinated details for events.
- Dealer demonstrators – subtle branding on forecourt vehicles.
Materials, shapes and sizes
Wheel stickers are printed on flexible vinyl that follows the gentle curve of a rim. Stripes need to be thin and continuous, so we usually supply them in segments that are easier to apply around the circumference.
For centre caps, a domed sticker with a clear resin layer gives a raised, glossy finish that looks like a factory badge. Measure the flat recess of the cap, not the outer diameter.
Metallic and carbon-look designs suit performance styling, while bright solid colours match brake calipers or body stripes.
Applying stickers to alloy wheels
Clean the wheel thoroughly with a non-acidic cleaner, then wipe with isopropyl alcohol to remove brake dust and silicone residues. Apply in a warm, dry place, as adhesives struggle on cold metal.
Keep stickers away from the tyre bead, balancing weights and any area that contacts the hub or brake components. Stripes on the outer lip are the most practical position.
Harsh acid wheel cleaners and pressure washers aimed directly at edges will shorten a sticker’s life, so use mild products once the stickers are applied.
How wheel stickers make an impression
Wheels are one of the first things enthusiasts notice on a car. A tidy accent or custom centre cap signals attention to detail and can tie the whole look of a vehicle together.
For clubs and dealers, subtle wheel branding is noticed at shows and meets without covering the bodywork.

Alloy Wheel Stickers questions, answered
How do I measure my alloy wheels for stickers?
For stripes, measure the width of the flat lip area and the wheel diameter. For centre caps, measure the flat recessed area where the sticker will sit. Photos with a ruler in shot help us check.
Will wheel stickers survive heat from the brakes?
Stickers on the outer lip are some distance from the brakes and generally cope well. Avoid areas close to the hub or brake components, which get much hotter.
Can I use a pressure washer on wheel stickers?
Use a gentle wash and keep the jet away from sticker edges. Strong acidic wheel cleaners can also attack adhesives, so choose a mild product.
Can you make stickers to replace missing centre caps?
We can print a domed sticker for the centre cap recess using your own design. We cannot reproduce a manufacturer’s badge unless you have permission to use it.
Are rim stripes supplied as a single ring?
Usually they come in segments, which are much easier to apply neatly around the curve. Tell us your wheel size and we will set up the lengths.
Can wheel stickers be removed?
Yes. Warm them gently with a hairdryer and peel slowly, then clean any residue with a suitable adhesive remover that is safe for your wheel finish.
How long do alloy wheel stickers take to make?
Your wheel stickers will be ready 10–12 working days after you approve the PDF proof. If you are preparing for a car show, let us know the date when you order.
