Carbon Wheel Stickers rim graphics for your own wheelset
Carbon wheel stickers put a name, logo or pattern on the rim sidewall of a bicycle wheelset or a set of carbon car wheels. We print them on thin vinyl cut to your artwork, for wheel builders, small cycling brands, clubs and riders who want rims that match their frame rather than someone else’s graphics.
- Thin vinyl that follows the curve of a rim

Carbon rims are expensive, curved and often exposed to heat and grit, so a good decal starts with where it sits and what it is made from.
Why choose custom carbon wheel stickers?
Many carbon wheelsets arrive either unbranded or covered in graphics that clash with the bike. Custom rim decals let a wheel builder brand their own hand-built sets, and let a rider tie wheels, frame and kit together in one colour scheme.
Stickers are also reversible in a way paint is not. If you sell the wheels, change bikes or tire of the look, decals can be removed with care, leaving the carbon finish underneath.
For small cycling brands, rim graphics are highly visible advertising: spinning wheels are one of the first things people notice in a race photo or at a café stop.
Who orders carbon wheel stickers?
Rim decal orders usually come from:
- Wheel builders – their own mark on hand-built carbon sets.
- Independent bike brands – matching rim, frame and packaging graphics.
- Cycling clubs and teams – team colours across members’ race wheels.
- Riders refreshing a wheelset – replacing tired graphics with a personal design.
- Car enthusiasts – subtle lettering on carbon or carbon-look car wheels.
Materials, shapes and sizes
Rim decals need a thin, conformable vinyl so they sit flat along the curve of the sidewall without lifting at the ends. Long, narrow designs work well, and a word mark repeated two or four times around the rim is the classic layout.
Measure the depth of the sidewall between the tyre bed and the spoke face, then allow a margin top and bottom. Deep-section aero rims give plenty of room, while shallow climbing rims may only suit small lettering.
White and black vinyl give the strongest contrast against bare carbon, and metallic finishes add a premium touch. Lamination helps protect the print from grit thrown up by the tyre.
Placement, heat and braking surfaces
On rim-brake wheels, never place decals on the braking surface. Pads would wear through them, and material on the track could affect braking. Keep graphics below the brake track, and check your wheel manufacturer’s guidance before applying anything.
Disc-brake rims have no braking surface on the rim, which frees up more of the sidewall. Still keep decals clear of the tyre bead area, where fitting and removing tyres, especially tubeless ones, can scuff or peel them.
On car wheels, avoid areas near the brake caliper and anywhere the tyre machine or balancing weights make contact. Clean with isopropyl alcohol and apply at room temperature.
How rim graphics help your brand
A wheel builder’s name on a rim travels on every ride, sportive and race the wheels complete. It is a quiet but constant reminder of who built them.
For teams and brands, matching rim decals make a group of bikes look like a coordinated product line rather than a collection of different wheels.

Carbon Wheel Stickers questions, answered
Can stickers go on the brake track of a carbon rim?
No. On rim-brake wheels the braking surface must stay clear of any decal, because pads would damage the sticker and material there could affect braking. Place graphics below the brake track only.
How many decals do I need per wheel?
Most layouts use one or two decals on each side of a rim, so a pair of wheels needs four to eight pieces. Tell us your layout and we will group the set so it is easy to apply.
Will rim decals affect how my wheels ride?
A thin vinyl decal adds very little weight. Space decals evenly around the rim if balance is a concern, and follow your wheel manufacturer’s advice on adding anything to the rim.
Can I remove carbon wheel stickers later?
Yes, with care. Warm the decal gently, lift an edge with a plastic tool rather than a blade, and peel slowly. Avoid any solvent the rim manufacturer advises against for carbon or its lacquer.
Will the stickers survive washing and wet rides?
Vinyl copes with rain and normal bike washing, and a laminate adds extra protection from grit. Avoid pointing a pressure washer at decal edges, as that can lift them.
Can you print decals for carbon car wheels?
Yes. Keep them to the outer face, away from calipers, balancing weights and the tyre bead, and describe the wheel when you ask for a quote so we can suggest a sensible size.
How soon will my rim decals be ready?
Once your proof is approved, allow 10–12 working days for your rim decals to be printed and cut, followed by delivery. Build that into any wheel build deadline you have promised a customer.
