Creating a custom sticker is straightforward once you know the few decisions involved. Here is how each one shapes the final result.

Step one: decide size, shape and material
Start by thinking about where the sticker will be used. A sticker for a laptop, a water bottle or a shop window each needs a different size and, often, a different material. Vinyl is the most versatile option; paper suits short-term indoor use.
For shape, a simple circle or rectangle is easiest, while a custom shape cut around your design looks more distinctive. If your design has very thin details, a slight border around it helps the sticker peel cleanly.

Step two: prepare your artwork
The ideal file is vector artwork, or a high-resolution image at 300 DPI at the size it will print, set up in CMYK colour. That produces the sharpest result, especially for text and fine lines.
If you only have a photo of a sketch, a low-resolution logo or a rough idea, send it anyway. Our free artwork review tells you whether it will print well and what, if anything, needs improving.
Keep important text and details away from the edge of the sticker, where cutting could clip them.
Step three: approve your proof
Before anything is printed, we send a PDF proof showing the size, colours and cut line. Check spellings, layout and dimensions carefully, as the proof is exactly what will be produced.
Once you approve it, your sticker goes into production. Typical turnaround is 10–12 working days from that approval.

Can you make a sticker from a sketch or photo?
We print from artwork you supply. A clear photo of a sketch can sometimes be used, but results are best with clean digital artwork. Send what you have and our free review will tell you whether it will print well.
What size should my sticker be?
Think about where it will go and how far away it will be viewed. Laptop and bottle stickers are typically small, while window and vehicle stickers need to be much larger. Describe the use and we will suggest a size.
Do I need design software to create a sticker?
No. Professional software produces the best files, but you can supply images, PDFs or scans and we will review them. If your file is not suitable, we will explain what is needed.
Can I see the sticker before it is printed?
Yes. You receive a PDF proof showing size, colours and cut line. Nothing is printed until you approve it.
What if my design has very thin details?
Very thin points and fine outlines can tear when a die-cut sticker is peeled. Adding a slim border around the design strengthens the edge, and we will flag any concerns on your proof.
